Cheeseburgers in Paradise

Today, I'm going to teach you how to make a great cheeseburger. Since it is one of my girlfriends favorite foods, I have become quite the expert. We probably eat them at least once a week. She is not the best cook, but has been able to follow my simple instructions. Now she is a burger expert.
This recipe is very easy to follow and does not take long to make. It is a great option for college students because you can prepare them for lunch, dinner or even make some sliders for a tailgating party. I am sure most of you do not have a grill. They can easily be made in a skillet on a stove. It is simple, just patty out the burgers, cook them, and ENJOY!!

Ingredients:
1 lb of ground beef
1 slice of pepperjack cheese and 1 slice of provolone cheese (use your desired type of cheese)
1 hamburger bun

Spices:
Salt
Pepper
Cajun Seasoning
Garlic Salt

Directions:
1. The first step is to patty out the burgers. You do this by rolling the meat into a ball and then flattening it out to your desired size.
2. Next, you want to season your burger by sprinkling each side of the burger with a little bit of the spices.
3. Now it is time to cook the burgers. You want to cook the burgers in a skillet on medium heat, time may vary depending on thickness of burgers, for about six to seven minutes.
4. The final step is to put the cheese on. You want to put your cheese on about a minute before you pull the burgers off. This will give your cheese enough time to melt.
5. Then it is time to dress up your burger. I like mine with mayo, ketchup, and lettuce, but you can fix yours up any way you like and enjoy!

Meaty Cheese Dip

This week I am going to share with you one of the easiest dip recipes which is sure to please. It is perfect for tailgating or watching your favorite football teams on Saturday afternoon. All you need is three basic ingredients: velveeta cheese, rotel diced tomatoes, and tortilla chips. My mom would always make a huge bowl that my family would crowd around and gobble up during football games.
Recently, while here in college I decided to mix it up a little bit and put some ground beef in the cheese dip. The beef really added a new twist and flavor . As you can imagine my roommates devoured the dip in record time. They all agreed it was delicious with the new ingredient.

Ingredients:
1 pound Velveeta Cheese
1/2 pound ground beef
1 can Rotel diced tomatoes and peppers
1 bag of tortilla chips

Directions:
1. First, cook the ground beef in a skillet. Once the ground beef is done cooking spoon it on to paper towl to drain.
2. Cut the velveeta into small cubes and put it into a large bowl.
3. Once all the velveeta is cut up add the can of rotel to the bowl.
4. Next, microwave the cheese dip for about 3 minutes. Then pull it out and stir. Microwave again for 1 minute or until the cheese is completely melted.
5. The last step is to add in the beef and enjoy!

If you do not like the ground beef try making it with ground sausage. It is also a good ingredient to spice up your cheese dip.

Buffalo Chicken Wraps

This is one of my favorite recipes to make. It is quick, easy and very affordable, while at the same time much healthier than fast food. This recipe is perfect for you guys because you do not always have the time to make a huge meal. This is one of my favorite meals to make for lunch between classes.
One day, while at home I was in the mood for hot wings but we did not have any. All we had was some leftover chicken breast from the night before. So I decided to cut up the chicken and pour Texas Pete's hot sauce all over it. But what was I going to put it on? As i was  looking in the fridge I saw some flour tortillas and it hit me, "I WILL MAKE A WRAP, A BUFFALO CHICKEN WRAP!" These are great because you can add other ingredients to them to spice them up. The possibilities are endless and FUN!

Ingredients:
2 Boneless, skinless chicken breast (or frozen chicken tenders)
2 Flour tortillas
Lettuce
Blue Cheese Dressing (or if you prefer Ranch)
Texas Pete hot sauce

Spices:
Salt
Pepper
Cajun seasoning

Directions:
1. Wash and then cut the chicken breast into thin strips. Each breast should make about four, one inche strips.
2. Once the chicken is dry, it is time to season it. Sprinkle a little bit of each of the seasons on the chicken strips
3. Pre heat a skillet to medium. Spray the skillet with pam so the chicken will not stick. If you do not have pam you can melt some butter in the pan.
4. Once the skillet is pre heated place the chicken strips in there. Cook each strip for about 7-8 minutes a side, or until the chicken is cooked all the way through.
5. While the chicken is cooking, wrap the tortillas in a paper towel and heat them in the microwave for 25 seconds.
6. Once the chicken is done cooking, it is time to make the wraps.
7. First, take the blue cheese (or ranch) and pour a little bit on each tortilla. Then take the 4 chicken strips  and place them on the tortillas. Pour the hot sauce on the chicken so it is completely covered. Take some lettuce and put it on top. Finally, roll it up and enjoy!

This is the way that I like to make mine, but you can add more things to your wrap like tomatoes or cheese. Also, next time you make them try using barbecue sauce instead of hot sauce.
